There will always be the questions raised about authenticity of facts, of course. Not much is known about Tanaji Malusare in any case, which is why any debatable aspect of his story might just be fended off with the statutory disclaimer right at the start. Watch Tanhaji as a well-crafted piece of Bollywood extravaganza, more than an authentic lesson in history.

Salman’s flamboyance as Chulbul the supercop, however, fails to hide the fact that you are essentially paying to watch the same film for the third time. Hardcore fans may not complain, because Chulbul Pandey’s world is still woven around their hero.

Ashutosh Gowariker’s latest has its moments. It is spectacular historical fiction riding some good performances, and likeable for the way it salutes valour. The impact could have been stronger with more imaginative storytelling.

For all its flaws, The Sky Is Pink works for the simple moral science lesson it leaves behind: Your loved ones matter most. Come to think of it, nothing regales the true-blue Bollywood buff than that sort of a message.

Dream Girl is your film if you are looking for a couple of hours packed with feel-good fun. Only, don’t go in looking for deeper nuances just because the film flaunts Ayushmann Khurrana as its hero – there are none.

This is a great story of a man who decided the poor can be privileged if educated. That a king’s son need not be a king. It would have taken a really daft director to ruin a story so inspiring. That, Vikas Bahl, is not. Lucky that he is good. Lucky for Anand Kumar. This movie has anointed him for good.

With crisp editing and screenplay, Ayushmann Khurrana outshines as a cop. With a thick moustache and dressed like an Englishman, the actor justifies his character in every scene. Can watch the film with your family, friends and is for all age groups

The film is Shahid Kapoor’s canvas and he portrays the noir and naturally flawed character, Kabir Singh with unmatched sincerity. A nuanced performance, inclusive of all the excesses his character is guilty of, Shahid makes them look real, even though in reality they may seem incredulous. His pain, anger, obsession, caring and even self-destruction appear raw and real.

Kabir Singh is definitely not a film you can watch with your family. Your partner or friends are the perfect company to watch Kabir Singh with. Kabir Singh will make you laugh, cry and love, and do it all with a lot of passion.
