Newton offers an interesting take on the contrasting ideas of idealism and pragmatism. Also, it is one of the better films revolving around the issue of Naxalism in India.

…large sections of the film are just plain boring. Also, the film fails to make any strong statement on the criminal justice system or the correctional facilities on offer. What’s heartbreaking is that the ingredients are all there but the problem is that the makers are not thorough with the recipe.

Logan Lucky is not as thrilling as Ocean’s Eleven, but it is an original variation of a typical genre. It probably won’t blow you away, but it will not disappoint you either. 

…as engaging as the film is, it is alarmingly high on violence and cusswords and so those repelled by gore and explicit language are better off skipping this one.   

The film is miraculously salvaged by a glorious performance by Charlize Theron–the Atomic Blonde at the centre receiving generous support by the rest of the cast. The music and visuals shine as well to serve an entertaining action frenzy. Fans of the genre shouldn’t give Atomic Blonde a miss.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha not only has the quintessential elements of a PSA but it also comes across as a propaganda film that doesn’t appear to leave any stone unturned in applauding the policies of the Narendra Modi government, including demonetization. Perhaps, movies like these are here to stay. Not only because our society requires them but also because our politicians need them. The only regret is that we shouldn’t be asked to pay to watch such films. After all, no one ever expected us pay to watch a good old PSA!

…the trio of Imtiaz Ali, SRK and Anushka Sharma make Jab Harry Met Sejal a treat to watch… so make sure that you don’t listen to the naysayers!

Fans of 3D-films, kids and teenagers are going to love Valerian and adults too will enjoy the film if they keep their expectations low, approaching it just as a stress-free visual entertainer.

The movie is neither unique nor flawless but it does exactly what it sets out to achieve i.e. to make people laugh. Mubarakan’s theme of a big fat Punjabi destination wedding in London is what serves as its USP, other than its ensemble star cast, of course.

Lipstick Under My Burkha does have its moments but ultimately it fails to pack a punch.
