• Strictly for the kids, Smurfs 2 is average fare that is entertaining on a very basic level.

  • With some more enthusiasm and zest the film would have had a better impact. Watch it for the performances and some funny gags.

  • The film also stays away from being preachy, trying to give a message or play the holier than thou card. Instead it digs deep into the subject and fleshes out different emotions and facets of this lust story.

  • Nasha should have been titled Sazaa as it neither titillates nor pushes the envelope in storytelling or execution. Don’t fall for this one!

  • Issaq will challenge your patience and drown you in your own misery!

  • SOT is a film that challenges your existing beliefs about everything – religion, the food you eat, the water you drink, your relationship with parents, friends, it subconsciously lets loose a series of stream of thoughts that run through your mind. Anand Gandhi scores in making each of these characters seem real. Nothing seems rehearsed, scripted or gimmicky.

  • Load yourself with ample popcorn, get comfy and marvel at Del Toro’s ground breaking VFX as Pacific Rim sets a new benchmark in film making.

  • Unlike other sequels which try to make the franchise into a money making enterprise, this one actually has a damn good story to tell.

  • Raanjhanaa has a fantastic first half. Watch it for Dhanush and Sonam’s performances and some colourful one-liners and dialogues.

  • Instead of using numerology, if the makers have hired better writers, this Enemmy would be a different story.
