Akshay Kumar brilliantly carries this film on his brawny arms and is ably supported by Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor. The film has a few dips but offers enough heft to keep you engaged.

  • Jolly LLB 2 is based on the same format of its prequel, it works well. It lacks the surprise element that the first part had, it is not that cleverly written as well, yet Jolly LLB 2 manages to engage viewers and gives Kumar ample scope to perform. And he doesn’t disappoint.

All is well that ends well. And Akshay Kumar ensures that you keep laughing at regular intervals. He makes you remember Warsi, but also adds his touch to Jolly. Overlook some of the minor flaws and you have a 140-minute solid entertainer on your hands.

‘Jolly LLB 2’ should definitely be on your to-do list for the weekend. The film might not satisfy you as much as the first one might have, but you surely won’t come out disappointed out of the theatres.

  • Jolly LLB did well with its droll depiction of a small-time lawyer and how his guilty conscience encourages him in vindicating the downtrodden. In its sequel, Akshay Kumar does it even better…

  • Jolly LLB 2 does well not to take itself too seriously.

It has the feel of a good-natured banter between friends rather than that of an inflated inquest conducted from a pedestal.

    Scintillating? No. Enjoyable? Absolutely.

Akshay changes shades from crooked to straight, like a chameleon. In top-form, he puts up a perfect display of a street-smart lawyer who hasn’t read legal tomes but who has instead picked up tips from courtroom corridors to become Jolly LLB. Huma and Annu are also compelling enough. It is the fine display of histrionics by all these refined actors, which makes the movie, worth seeing.

Jolly LLB has its flaws but it makes up with its honesty and of course, the superb performances from the cast.

  • At its core, Jolly LLB 2 is the story of the condition of courts in the country, much like its predecessor. Akshay Kumar is the driving force of this drama. Director Subhash Kapoor doesn’t do enough to extract the best of Akshay’s comic timing. But there are enough to get by. Saurabh Shukla’s dialogues make you break into a laugh every now and then. The man steals the show.

  • Jolly LLB 2 is entertaining as well as hard hitting. Saurabh Shukla is a stunner while Akshay is once again at his best.

Director/writer Subhash Kapoor knows the legal system like an absolute pro. His setup for the actors is authentic but his ideas aren’t all that strong. The second half of the film especially tries to pack in too much drama, melodrama and twists. But the actors bring in the requisite restraint and make Jolly LLB 2 an absolute delight.

JOLLY LLB is a perfect package, it makes you laugh, think and stand in support of the judiciary system that in spite of its flaws, delays and criticism, we still have a faith that it will follow the truth.

  • Akshay Kumar’s performance as Jolly can be termed his finest yet. This one captures UP in all its notorious glory, with goons, and guns and is far more of a court-room drama, packaged as social satire, with comedy that’s subtly situational, rather than classic LOL stand-up stuff

If only Jolly LLB 2 didn’t fumble at crucial plot points. Awkwardness sits on the proceedings.

In Jolly LLB 2, Akshay Kumar subdues his muscle power and makes for a good dramatic turn as the lawyer on a right path. The comedy lies in the local language and the conversation between Annu Kapoor (the crooked prosecutor) and Saurabh Shukla (the judge). Worth a watch!

  • The State vs. Jolly LLB 2 is worth the time you spend watching it. Whether or not it is worth the energy spent in going to the theater and back, and the extra multiplex bucks will depend on your affection for Akshay Kumar, satire, courtroom drama and so on.

Although Jolly LLB 2 doesn’t feature the most inventive court trial in Indian cinema history, it is certainly high on tragedy, raw emotions, morals and starkness of justice, and will appeal to both the thinking and the commercial audiences.

Jolly LLB 2 is a highly entertaining film that also succeeds in delivering some food for thought in a most unsuspecting manner. The film takes swipes at the judiciary, highlights its complexities and flaws, but ultimately reinstates faith in the judicial system. For a courtroom comedy-drama the film has surprisingly high levels of action and suspense. Jolly LLB 2 is a very well made film but it pales in comparison to Jolly LLB. However, Jolly LLB 2 has something for everyone. It’s certainly a must watch if you are an Akshay Kumar fan. As for others, you wouldn’t be disappointed if you do choose to watch it but don’t go expecting another Jolly LLB.

  • There is no way that you will be bored watching this one so please book your tickets and watch the film that has the masala as well as a good plot with a message this weekend.
