Unlike most Christmas-themed films which are meant for family viewing, Will Speck and Josh Gordon’s Office Christmas Party tries very hard to aim at adult audiences. They have succeeded in getting an “A” certificate, but the content remains as immature and inane as one can imagine, wherein vulgarity becomes a substitute for wit.

Watch it, but unless you’d like to get fired, or even arrested for criminal behavior, don’t follow its examples at your upcoming office party.

Those two stars are for the great casting. The film itself is strictly for those with low standards. It’s so bad, the trailer is better the actual film. Avoidable.

  • The experience can be a little frustrating since the campiness and risqué material is supposed to be part of the comedic routine, and all you get is a ‘sanitised’ version of what is supposed to play on the screens. It would be better to wait for the DVD and watch it sloshed with your friends for the full experience.

Office Christmas Party is fun and filled with funny men and women who are given a permit to be hilarious – it is like a can-never-go-wrong kind of a plot. Watch the movie if you want to spend two hours of your life laughing. Also, watch it if you want to experience on-screen the party you have always dreamed of attending.

  • As unimaginative as its title, Office Christmas Party starts strong but declines into nonsense.

“Office Christmas Party”, packed with debauchery in the backdrop, is a very by-the-numbers comedy that offers nothing memorable or you have not seen too many times before.

  • There are laughs enough if you remember you’re not meant to overthink it. But considering the cast, it’s just a little bit of a letdown.
