• Simmba is tried and tested 80s Bollywood formula.  But what the hell?  If redux songs can be a super hit, retelling formula, 1000-times-over can also be super fun.  Go for Simmba with a whistle and a packet of kurkure.  This is masala, just  ENJOY!

  • Zero gets marks for Shah Rukh’s experiment into a space less traveled.  If you’re curious, go ahead, amuse yourelf.

  • Geek or not, a great movie experience should not be missed. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one such experience.

  • Watch Kedarnath for the spunky and spirited Sara Ali Khan. A star is born.

  • Amit Ravinderanath Sharma, who shot to fame with his Google ad a few moons ago and sank with his first Hindi film, Tevar (2015) is totally in command here. Aided by good writing and great performances, he clearly indicates that he can masterfully fix a human drama in a tight, two-hour frame and give the audience a film to remember.

  • If you have grown up reading mystery/crime novels, don’t miss AndhaDhun. You will simply love it.

  • Sui Dhaaga has a spirited  Varun and some truly witty dialogue.  You can toss a coin and decide whether or not to watch it for this young actor, who carries the burden of this mediocre film  with his never-say-die spirit.

  • If biopics or Manto float your boat, check this one out.

  • Watch BGMC because it throws light on the issue of electricity, which is a fundamental human right. If we sit like frogs in a well, we may never learn what ails the real India. Jaago guys, jaago.

  • For the eternal die-hard romantics, Manmarziyaan is that tale which encourages you to dream on, no matter what. Go for it with that special someone.
