• Madras Café is a hypnotically created masterpiece which thrives in the freshness of its conception. Using history with drama to build a persuasive tapestry of enthralling action, energetic plot and skillful narration of the grim phase of Lankan War, Shoojit Sircar astonishes with this fascinating docu style dramatic movie. I am going flatly with a 4/5 this triumphed work of passionate and compelling cinema.

  • Chennai Express is another average fare which stars King Khan. He will make you laugh with his flawless comic timing, romance with Deepika with a flattering charm and Rohit Shetty helps him absorb some superhero powers as well by which he beats to pulp a man twice his size. Yes, the last part doesn’t quite make sense but then Chennai Express comes with an unwritten statutory warning – it isn’t supposed to embody logic but it is, nevertheless, quite fun! I am going with a 3/5. Go with your family and have a good time!

  • Anand Gandhi’s Ship Of Theseus is a bold and challenging film, which presents to you an indulgent story with engaging characters using the art of symbolism. Spread out on the grand vision of experimental cinema, this is a film that will grow on you. Watch it if you have the appetite for Indie cinema. This is perhaps one of recent times’ most eloquent films that have come out of India!

  • With its chilling action scenes and thrilling emotional quotient, D-Day is perhaps one of recent times’ most rivetingly told stories. With Bollywood celebrating Dawood mostly, here’s a filmmaker who has made a daunting movie which effortlessly gives the character its correct hue.

  • Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will have you captivated with its grit and enigma. Made with panache, it’s hard to take your eyes off Farhan Akhtar, who enriches Milkha Singh as a surreal charismatic figure beyond the realms of flesh and blood! I am going with a 4/5 and applause for the film’s team. This one is so moving and scintillating that such films are a reward to the audiences for bearing through the fiascoes!

  • Lootera is one film that will overwhelm you. Vikramaditya Motwane has given a seraphic piece that glorifies cinema itself. The narrative is framed on a devastative tapestry and the film’s climax knots up calamitously that will keep one absorbed. Sonakshi Sinha’s smashing performance is first rate and the film’s tone and timber is scrumptious! I am going with 4/5 for Lootera! Films like these have the milieu of a classic that shall soar its way to glories!

  • Rajkumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar indeed is far from perfect. But it is both compelling and challenging. Boldly making a unique film that refuses to garnish out ready made thriller, expect this one to jolt your gray matter. The film’s performances are decadent, especially that of Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi who are top notch. I am going with a 3 on 5 for Ghanchakkar. It could have been a better film but it still impresses as a stirring and engaging comic-suspense thriller.

  • Man Of Steel definitely glorifies Superman rendering a magnanimous impression! With very little words, and alluring vigorous action, this time Superman shines in his swanky new matted scaly suit and presents to us a story which effectively challenges a few prevailing mythical ideas about the character. Synder’s direction is intelligent and Man Of Steel which gives wholesome entertainment despite its hitches manages to get a 3/5. Go with relaxed expectations and watch this one for sure!

  • Ranbir Kapoor delivers an outstanding performance. He will indeed make you believe that he is Bunny! Effortlessly slipping into the skin of the character, the film belongs to him!

  • …a lurid explosive which is ace for its perilous acting and stirring space action. However the excitement it invokes is familiar and the point it tries to make gets lost amidst a flurry of some breathtaking action. I am going for a 3/5 for this one. Slightly above average, the film borders on typifying Star Trek series with mostly nothing unique to offer.
