• I can’t help compare ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ to ‘The Lunchbox’ and feel this one just doesn’t tug at the heartstrings like the latter, which was a heartwarming tale that unfolded over inanimate letters.

  • The sets look fancy and the production is slick but it just doesn’t come together as an entertaining watch. None of the original songs has recall value, the tracks that work are remixes of popular 90s’ songs.

I was disappointed with ‘Golmaal Again’ and I really wanted my money back.

  • Omung Kumar’s ‘Bhoomi’ is, to say the least, a disturbing film. The discomfort doesn’t stem just from the dark motifs of rape and revenge, but also from the director’s treatment of these sensitive issues.

  • The thing is there doesn’t seem to be a single tangible plot point that seems to make sense in the entire scheme of things. The protagonist’s manipulations seem contrived and superfluous. And despite, the dialoguebaazi and the Bollywood masala, the end product is bland and completely forgettable.

  • This film spends too much time discussing an issue with a very myopic view. The search for a plausible solution begins only two hours into the film, after the major part is spent dwelling on temporary workarounds.

  • This one is completely avoidable unless, of course, you just want to saunter into the theatre to enjoy 156 minutes of air-conditioning during the oppressive Indian summers.

  • I don’t know what it is about Bollywood and its unsuccessful attempts at delivering one watchable superhero story.

  • I wish a film that looked so good, would have felt that good as well.

Despite all the swag, this is one is tepid show.

  • Azhar’s is an intriguing story, if only the film was as engaging.

  • While I wasn’t very happy with the direction, I loved Arjun’s understated performance. It is, however, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s cameo that’s the highpoint of this film.

The second half has a nice twist, but the sheer number of times you hear ‘Ki’ and ‘Ka’ in this story is just exhausting.
