  • A timeless script that’s not classy but very deep. It’s really OK if you don’t like this wonderfully crafted film much, but do watch it again after 5 years.
Keep this cycle going and I’m sure you’ll like it some day. This is because this movie will RECYCLE(:P) itself. Alia Bhatt is growing to become a mass favourite sooner or later. She’s just mastering her acting skills with each project. Gauri Shinde repeated her beautiful filmmaking after her previous script English Vinglish. I hope she goes amazingly like this in future without repeating not repeatable things. Finally, for SRK, I was able to happily bear you for the first time in a decade. Please keep working like a fine act, because your potential is rare.

  • SRK has made a big comeback to the Bolly arena after a series of masala entertainers from the last 4-5 years. One of the best Bollywood thrillers I’ve watched since the last 5-6 years.
Amazing first half, a slight declination in the sub post-interval session, and a brilliant climax which will put you in an ambiguity at the end of the movie and you’ll be thinking about it again and again. The plot could have been a slightly better settled though. But I don’t think any other movie without any actress in it and devoid of any songs, will be able to keep you glued to your seat throughout the whole 2 and a half hours. Amazing stuff from the Direcor, Maneesh Sharma. You’re fabulous! 🙂 Whatever it is, SRK is into one of his best avatars and he shows the world as to why is he called as the “Biggest movie star in the world”. Take a bow! Salutes! 🙂 Worth all your money! Go grab your tickets, and watch Fan. 🙂

  • I understand u don’t need a logic in a movie making since it is a movie. But never expected this movie so bad. Even in 80’s they made better movies than this.
Coming to the performance as mentioned by lots of people they rated this is Hrithik’s best performance, this is what made me to watch the movie but I am very disappointed. The standards of the movie and accessing the actors performance is degrading day by day. I still have lots of faith in Indian cinema and I hope for the best. The actors of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s are way better than the current actors(with an exception of few). Just building the body and learning the dance is not enough. Frankly speaking I never had any hope from Sanjay Gupta but only the reviews made me to watch the movie and I wasted my valuable time.

  • This my honest review of what I felt of the Movie Raees:
First of all, I only have watched 2 Hindi Movies (one being Dangal and another being Raees). Never had the interest in watching Bollywood movies, but for some reasons these two movies got my attention, mainly because of their fabulous trailers that were trending in Canada.
    Raees Review:
Raees is a movie portrayed around the 80s and 90s, an era in which bootlegging was big. The movie shows a the growth of a man named “Raees” from his young childhood all the way to adulthood. He gains supremacy in the land and he is control of everything. During this time he meets his wife and also a honest policeman. The policeman is not corrupted as the others and his main mission is to bring down Raees. To figure out who wins and what happens next watch the movie!
Story/Acting: Lets understand that this is a entertainment movie, you should not expect a Oscar movie such as Lion (which also is a great move), so the story is good, however its not great. Nevertheless the story keeps you guessing and it is very intriguing. The dialogues (whatever I read in the subtitles) were really strong. In terms of acting the guy who played Raees was really good, I think if he gets a chance he should come over to Hollywood and be in a movie in which the directors can really use his skills. The policeman acting was great as well, his scenes with Raees was awesome. The rest of the cast was OK, they were honest to their roles.
I also had a chance reading all the IMDb reviews of Raees, some seemed fake to me (doesn’t feel like they watched the movie), so I suggest go out and watch this movie at least once. If a Canadian guy like me can watch this movie then I don’t know whats stopping you
