Dabangg starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, a romantic cop thriller set in the badlands of Uttar Pradesh which seems actually like the beginning of a saga fresh out of a keen narrative. Of course there are masala moments and solid punches of humour and entertainment, but these things never altogether come in the pathway of solid storytelling.
And that's because the narrative, especially with these characters like Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo, has no dearth of authenticity. I'm going with 3.5 out of 5 for 'Dabangg'. Think of it as a mindless but original film, and you'll just love this story of Robin Hood Pandey!
