'Love Aaj Kal' is a strong trendsetter of a film. Yes, Imtiaz Ali's second outing 'Jab We Met' was certainly his mainstream candyfloss, but this one is his most sensational, which will stay till the last ring of his career. But still, its actually a little dissatisfying.
Imtiaz Ali makes a film which travels from 'tomorrow' to 'today', so you might say it as a progressive film. But what is more that it carries promising performances, especially by its charming leads. There is romantic comedy and there are broken up lovers not suffering heartbreak. But still, Imtiaz, seems, has recognized the value of the mainstream cinema with the film. So, its not as riveting and artistic romance as Socha Na Tha, but its still all heart.

I was just moved by the originality of the script. Saif Ali Khan was awesome as always but Deepika was not that good.
