The story has pace but falters when it comes to substance. The background score is a plus and perhaps one of the few things that add some edge to the limping narrative. With better performances and more nuanced writing, this would have been a very different film. Also, the directors needed to have a tighter grip on the many stories they are trying to tell in two hours.

  • Yahaan Sabki Lagi Hai is about people screwed up as much by the system as by their own follies, but the final impact of the film is not as gloomy as the title might suggest. Give it a shot.

  • Nothing makes sense after the mugging as the script goes haywire and performances wayward. The end, too does not match the mood of the beginning. It is just too confusing.

There’s not much to the story and there’s even less weight in the dialogues. The characters all sound like petulant self-seeking individuals lost in their own self-importance and fake sentiment. There’s an effort to shore the weak scripting with pseudo-verse and music that sounds like a bad imitation of sixties rock but it fails to impart any affect. The performances are stilted at best. No one looks comfortable in the skin of the characters they assay. Suresh Kumar Rajan’s cinematography manages to capture the beauty of the region but fails at creating vivid atmosphere for the trip that appears to be going nowhere. The film of course, stays true to it’s title. Everybody does get screwed here-including you!

Yahaan Sabki Lagi Hai is a road movie with an extremely weak plot and even weaker performances.

  • But even as Yahaan Sab Ki Lagi meanders along, its precise philosophical centre, the energetic performances from a cast of competent and convincing actors and the lively dialogues hold it together as it heads to a somber, though not downbeat, finale.

The rhythms and flavours of Yahaan Sabki Lagi Hai are its own. This is a film for those that have a taste for the offbeat.

A valiant effort, Yahaan Sabki Lagi Hai tries to connect with young adults. With some amazing shots and some unique music, the film tries to tell a message. Watch this movie with some friends and you might enjoy the madness.

Perhaps it is the filmmakers’ intention to irritate viewers with irritable characters and existential rants, but it soon becomes an irritating watch. Pankaj Awasthi’s cool fusion score makes their personal journey worth hearing, but there is little else that makes it worth watching.
