• Pain, anguish, aspiration, desire and hope form the soul of Fandry, and it will take me a few re-watches to take in the film completely. A film like Fandry comes along rarely. And when it does, it must be watched and celebrated. GO WATCH NOW.

  • The execution is amateurish and shoddy. The plot takes the entire first-half to establish itself and the film completely drags on through the second half. The film is packed with so many quotes that are meant to inspire you to crush competition that the theater feels like a school principal’s office.

  • The film has its flaws. There’s over the top emotional drama, the drunken Genelia scene which is completely unbelievable and mildly irritating. Of course the film could have done without the forced item song, where Veena Malik’s artificially abundant bosom tries to charm and fails, but other than that, this one’s a fun, breezy watch.

Don’t over analyse, don’t think too much, just go watch and have fun.

  • The year 2011 was termed as the year of revolution and yet, in India, revolutions failed to go beyond morchas and candle-light vigils. As the year 2012 kicks off with civic polls in Maharashtra and various states gear up for legislative assembly elections, many groups are trying to speak-up against corruption and bring the political office holders to the book. In April, a man named Anna Hazare gave Indians a hope by demanding a strong Lokpal bill by using Gandhian techniques. And while his bill might render the Lokpal powerful, one can’t help but wonder what would happen if the person appointed Lokpal were to abuse the power bestowed upon him.

  • There are films that shake you up and force you to realise that by virtue of being born in urban areas or during comparatively progressive times, we get a lot of freedom and that we must not take it for granted.

  • The film’s plot goes nowhere, the music is just about okay, the styling is horrid (brown knee length boots with a blue dress?), the dialogue is full of grammatical errors (Mummyji speaks *in* English apparently. Grrrr!).

  • If you’re looking for an action film to entertain you this weekend, Singham isn’t that film. This wannabe Dabangg is at best a comic film but there are so many other options that could do the job much better. Give this one a miss.

  • Packed with fun yet emotional moments, stellar performances, witty dialogue and a great story, Chillar Party is a must watch for kids and adults alike.

  • To be fair, Double Dhamaal has a few giggle-worthy moments, but you must earn these moments by lasting through endless torture tactics that Indra Kumar unleashes on you. These include mediocre gags, garish songs and Kangana Ranaut.

  • If you’re a Sallu fan, you won’t feel let down.
