A wafer-thin family drama that overstays its welcome.

Director Trivikram Srinivas has to give up his stale formula of sending the hero into a big family and then make him resolve their woes. However, director Trivikram Srinvas fails to come up with a solid script to justify the larger-than-life image of Mahesh Babu.

Mahesh Babu, in top-notch form, is the sole redeeming factor in Trivikram's unnecessarily prolonged film, preventing it from becoming a tedious watch.

Mahesh Babu carries the entire film on his charm & it hampers when things get repetitive. In a movie of about 3 hours, we'll need something more than solely star-worshipping. The sudden songs only to showcase Bob's dancing skills start getting on your nerves because they are not even appropriately synced with the screenplay.

Trivikram Srinivas' third film with Mahesh Babu after Athadu and Khaleja has to be his weakest. Guntur Kaaram struggles to hold your attention for its 2 hours and 39 minutes long duration.

Guntur Kaaram wants to be an emotional family entertainer and a mass/masala film rolled into one. This film feels like a pale blend of both, garnished with Guntur's fiery red chillies, hoping the leading man's fanbase will lap it up.
