What 5 critics are saying
Critical reception for Hridayapoorvam is mixed-to-positive, with most reviewers characterizing it as a light, feel-good family entertainer in the familiar mold of director Sathyan Anthikad. Mohanlal's performance and charm are the most consistently highlighted strengths across reviews. However, at least one critic found the film frustrating, pointing to a thin, underdeveloped plotline and a missed opportunity to realize the story's fuller potential.

Film review
4.0Hridayapoorvam is one of the most confusing movies I have watched in recent times. What annoys the most about Sathyan Anthikad here is his inability to recognise the true potential of Hridayapoorvam and how the story could have been crafted into a far better film.

Hridayapoorvam is what you'd call a typical Sathyan Anthikad movie, and I mean this in the nicest way possible.

Film review ·
With Hridayapoorvam, Sathyan Anthikad crafts a light-hearted entertainer by stretching a thin plotline and extracting all the possible laughs out of it.
