Kirk Jones's terrifically warm, generous film is about real-life activist John Davidson, who has Tourette syndrome, and it raises relevant questions about overdiagnosis while offering compassion and catharsis. This is an absorbing, compassionate film that pierces the carapace of sentimentality while surreally commenting on the form and the demure niceties of polite society.
