Iratta

Iratta is a movie that draws you in, steals your breath and leaves you with pain. The filmmaker has skillfully crafted a thriller that has multiple layers which unravels as the movie progresses, with Joju George delivering a brilliant performance in his dual role.

Iratta is a super thriller film. Only when you watch this film in its entirety does it give you the feeling of having watched a gripping, disturbing thriller.

Iratta is a film that mostly runs on police procedurals, with a vivid screenplay by Rohit Krishnan in the process of revealing a murderer. Joju George's performance in a dual role is the heart and soul of the film. The ending of the film leaves you outraged and makes you satisfied after watching a worthy suspense story.

Joju brings heft to the roles, interpreting both characters in his own way. He is successful in making us feel that we are watching two different human beings, through some careful alterations to the gait, body language and dialogue delivery. Still, it is that final revelation which prevents Iratta from becoming just another average procedural.
