Though Katham Katham moves at a brisk pace, it is predictable and long. There are a few well-written dialogues, but a cliché ridden script, and ordinary execution by the debutant director makes Katham Katham a total waste of time.

There are no thrilling cat-and-mouse games and in their place all we get are predictable situations, a mood-killing love track between Nandha and Madhu, a local girl and a tame climax that is utterly disappointing.

In all, ‘Katham Katham’ is an intelligent cop story with a tint of realism, running on enjoyable fiction. With advisable discretion to viewership on certain regards, ‘Katham Katham’ is a light movie to chill out on.

It is undoubtedly one of the worst films of the year in terms of story and production values. If Katham Katham released in early 70’s, it might have been an average venture but now we really feel sorry for the producer.

If the director had avoided the temptation of including ‘necessary commercial elements’, Katham Katham would have been a quality film. But as Pandian, almost as if he were speaking on the director’s behalf, says, “Awards venaam. Collection vandha podhum.”
