Harish Kalyan and MS Bhaskar excel in a tensely staged drama on an everyday issue
Film review ·
'Parking' is a great representation of such men, who we encounter in our lives on an everyday basis. 'Parking' is all about two exceptional performances from legendary MS Bhaskar and Harish Kalyan, and while the first half has our attention, the second half becomes predictable. However, the film ends on a high note with a much-needed message for the misogynistic men.

Parking is at its most fascinating when it shifts gears — going from being a fun "spirit of neighbourliness" drama with sprinkles, to a dark pit where a dangerous cocktail of rage and id takes over two men. Despite its lack of know-how in the last act, Parking is still a trip worth your time for all the raw discomfort it makes you feel.

Parking is a straightforward yet effective and almost realistic take on some of the issues middle-class families face and the toll it takes on people and those around them when they let their egos get the best of them. Thanks to a captivating screenplay, remarkably good cinematography and editing, and an exceptional lead cast, Parking is a lovely addition to the list of small-budget films that have had a dream run this year.
