Pluto

Adithyan Chandrashekar's Neeraj Madhav-Althaf Salim starrer fails to turn its novel idea into real laughs.

Pluto is never outright tedious, even if much of it feels underwhelming. There are flashes of imagination and the occasional laugh, but they are never enough to make the film linger.

Instead of embracing the limitless possibilities of its premise, 'Pluto' retreats into a safe, familiar narrative that fails to deliver the imaginative sci-fi experience one might expect from an alien-themed story.

Other than the attempts at humour, the makers of Pluto stick to the usual alien storyline we have seen so many times across languages. The light humour, which works only occasionally, might have just carried the film all through if it had better writing to go with it.
