Inspired by a true story, the film traces the life of Prithipal Singh, one of the greatest Indian hockey players. Prithipal, a survivor of partition goes onto become the best penalty corner converter and in the process wins three Olympic medals, including the 1964 Tokyo Olympic gold medal.
