'Sairat' directed by Nagraj Manjule is a love story so sincerely told, it is the most lively example of how the beauty of a love story lies in its telling.
Sairat directed by Nagraj Manjule was a Marathi film which told you the love story of Archana Patil, the daughter of the rich head of the village and Prashant Kale, the son of a lower-class Dalit. This is a charming love story, but then the love stories like these can't go smooth, and there's doesn't. The best part of the love story is the way they selflessly (and at a point, selfishly) stay with each other and the tender chemistry they share. It's about the horrors of honour killing in India, and this will horrify you, and Rinku Rajguru's performance shall impress you. It has such fine brushstrokes that you look beyond its overdramatic flaws and observe into its passion. I am going woth 3.5 for 'Sairat' with a recommendation that you don't miss it.0September 28, 19 -
