Tezaab

Tezaab , released on 11 November 1988, is an Indian Hindi movie. The film gave actress Madhuri Dixit her first big break and reaffirmed Anil Kapoor's status, after a successful Mr India . Tezaab is known for the song "Ek Do Teen," which was a chart success. It ran in theatres for more than 50 weeks becoming a golden jubilee, and it was the highest blockbuster at the box office for the year 1988 in Bollywood. The story follows Mohini (Madhuri Dixit) whose dad (Anupam Kher) is an alcoholic and wishes that she takes up dancing and prostitution so that he can get his daily dose of alchol. Mohini attempts to take refuge with her lover Mahesh (Anil Kapoor), who had joined the armed forces. However, cirumstances tangle Mahesh to such an extent that he is arrested, charged, and sentenced to stay away from Bombay city limits.
