Gene Amoroso

Stephen A. Kurkjian is an American journalist and author. He has won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting reporting in 1972 and 1980, and the George Polk Award in 1982 and 1994. He won the Investigative Reporters and Editors Award in 1995. His cousin in sportswriter Tim Kurkjian. He is of Armenian descent. His father, an artist, was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
