Considering that it is a patriotic film, the emotional side of it becomes the focal point of Batwara 1947. It’s just a film about a family that found each other through traumatic times, grave loss and an inability to call a house a home until togetherness comes into play.

I had a lot of expectations from Haiwaan and that was completely my fault. Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan were singlehandedly carrying this film on their backs because the plot sincerely wasn't. With how much I wanted Haiwaan to work, I'm extremely disappointed with how it turned out.

Daayra is worth the watch. If you want a reminder of why Bollywood should be taken seriously, this film is it. Meghna Gulzar outdid herself with the gripping tale, and it is dark enough to make you question the system and whether one is right over the other.
