Ramayana

2026 · Screen Rant

While the underlying storytelling is lacking in some key ways, and it stumbles as a result, the compelling craft and engrossing highlights make it a must-see on the big screen. On a purely visual and technical level, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is an impressive cinematic achievement, but character depth that really draws the audience in is what gives similar epics an edge.

The Uprising

2026 · Screen Rant

The Uprising is a terrific example of the historical epic, with strong central performances elevating it beyond the handful of underdeveloped elements that would otherwise hold it back. In an era when class disparity has only grown more pronounced, and the public grows more frustrated with governments that do little to help them compared to the wealthy, The Uprising speaks to a raw rage that feels especially timely.
