RRR is a big, gaudy, sledgehammer-subtle slice of escapist cinema that is fun from first frame to last. It may have a tenuous relationship with nuance, but RRR is a bombastic delight. Making the Fast And Furious series look restrained by comparison, it hits the parts Hollywood actioners just can't reach.

Less unnerving than pineapple on pizza, Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is the dictionary definition of codswallop. The returning creative team labour hard to amp up the animatronics-go-apeshit experience but this is genuine weak sauce, full of bad writing, poor performances and, for the most part, bereft of scares.

The result, despite the fresh start, adds very little that is novel, but emerges a brisk, uneven, mostly enjoyable romp. It's not doing much daring or different but this delivers a fun, well-made summer theme-park ride, with fast highs and slow lows. Pleasurable, though it doesn't linger.

The storytelling is ham-fisted, lame-brained and doesn't really know how to lean into the fun of it all. Save the occasional flourish, Kraven The Hunter is limp, tired, uninvolving superhero fare.
