Digger
"Digger" is, by a country mile, the best movie of the year, an exuberant, maximalist comedy with more visual invention and conceptual ambition than any studio film since "One Battle After Another." Iñárritu's wild central conceit gives Cruise the biggest challenge of his career, and the opportunity to remind us that he's not just the world's biggest movie star but one of its best actors.
