• What you experience is an intense family psychodrama with the largely concealed emotional torment roiling it all up to a bitter harvest

  • The formula continues to hold sway. The plotting is familiar and aims to extend the brand further- which is quite obvious. Largely an exercise to keep the fans happy, this film makes all the right noises but fails to make it more than ordinary!

  • The setups and payoffs are big sized- meant to make the referencing easier and obviously memorable. Energetic performances, casual humour, nostalgic back-flips add up to a rousing engagement.

  • Deadpool 2 not only gets you nostalgic about the glorious past, it also has what it takes to keep you roaring with laughter all the way through.

  • Avengers Infinity War is an epic spectacle no doubt and I believe the lack of modulation is intentional-an attempt to leave the viewers with questions more than answers

  • Despite it’s few aberrations, ‘A Quiet Place’ is a stand-out horror feature because it abstains from the typical jump-scares and hackneyed tropes that abound in genre fare.

  • Steven Spielberg’s take of Ernest Cline’s pop-culture sci-fi novel Ready Player One is a bagful of geeky tricks with a treasure trove of pop-culture references in a derivative plot

  • Ruben Östlund’s scripting doesn’t allow for much integration between events so what you get is a stripped along story-telling that might seem meaningful to some and largely worthless to others. The experience thereof is interesting but not exactly illuminating or heartfelt.

  • Carter Burwell’s measured background score and Ben Davis’ involving cinematography will keep you affected throughout. This is one helluva film. You can’t afford to miss it!

  • A wonderful blend of history, art and fiction, this film has the best credentials to take away all the major awards.
