• This unusual thriller has all the elements you’d expect from a film that can attain cult status. In all fairness, the story does throw up a few nail-biting moments, too. But the inconsistent writing and direction by Vinod Kapri robs the movie of its desired impact. With a little more attention to detail and conviction, this one could have been a terrific experience.

  • The problem is not with acting or cinematography, it is the script that makes what could have been an exceptional tale of loss of love, a run-of-the-mill Bollywood masala flick.

  • Ribbon starts off with one storyline and ends with another, but fails to capture the gamut of both. Rakhee Sandilya has started a conversation on a less-spoken human emotion, very humanely. If only she had taken one route and explored it to its optimum level.

  • For anyone who feels burdened and bogged down by life, this light-hearted tale of uncertainty and survival is a definite watch. Like they say, laugh it out!
