• Set in a world that feels entirely authentic, Finding Fanny is a charming film that starts off slowly but draws you into its drama. At a crisp 105 minutes, it’s a perfectly satisfying watch unlike so many disposable comedies today.

  • Alas the film doesn’t spook you, or deliver so much as a few cheap thrills despite the pop-out 3D effects. This is standard B-movie material that plods on for a full 2 hours and 15 minutes. Still, I’m going with a generous 2 out of five for Creature 3D. It’s an ambitious attempt, weighed down by pedestrian storytelling.

  • It’s perfectly watchable, but never great like it should’ve been.

  • … has a few moments of genuine awe and wonder, but there’s too much plot and relatively lesser dancing this time round, which defeats the very purpose of watching these movies. This franchise is in urgent need of some new moves.

  • Bland, unimaginative, and entirely pointless, this is one film that needn’t have been made. Stay home and take a nap instead.

  • Neither as entertaining as your average Emraan Hashmi thriller, nor clever enough to engage anyone seeking a deliciously complex caper, Raja Natwarlal is the kind of film that leaves you bored out of your mind. It won’t give you a migraine, but it’s so banal, you would probably have more fun doing your laundry instead.

  • …a disappointing film that might have benefitted from investing more in script rewrites than star salaries. Its nostalgia value aside, this is one noisy bore.

  • Mardaani is not a perfect film, but it’s better than many of the blockbusters Bollywood churns out regularly. It’s a well-made commercial Hindi film – reasonably short and minus songs – that’s trying to say something. Whatever else, you won’t be bored.

  • Riveting as it is, there is a tinge of sadness attached to the film. You don’t want to miss it; it’s a slice of life that will resonate with you.

  • At 2 hours and 22 minutes, ‘Singham Returns’ feels long and occasionally plodding. There are some nice scenes that inspire police pride, but the predictable story tires you out eventually.
