-
It’s accessible and entertaining; that rare film about empowerment that delivers plenty laughs. Make sure not to miss it.

Dunkirk is robust filmmaking, and sits nicely with Nolan’s impressive body of work. It’s a riveting, overwhelming piece of cinema, and another reminder of how skilfully he marries affecting character drama with sheer spectacle. It’s one of the year’s best films.
-
It’s a rock solid thriller with a big beating heart at its center. Definitely worth your time.
-
It’s light and breezy and so much fun.
-
This is a film that raises the bar for romantic comedies hereon. It’s a film I know I’m going to watch again soon, to savor the company of its characters. Don’t miss The Big Sick. It’s a real gem.

…the laughs are aplenty, including cheeky nods to “Finding Nemo”, “Star Wars”, and a “Pink Panther”-inspired closing credits sequence. The secret sauce of the film remains grumpy Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) and his permanent state of impatience and irritation, which powers the franchise.

Cars 3 is no masterpiece, but it’s worth your time.
-
Wonder Woman doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s a hugely entertaining film that packages the familiar with a lot of flairs.

A Death in the Gunj benefits from Konkona Sen Sharma’s perceptive, assured direction. It’s one of the best films of the year, and one that you’ll find hard to shake off in a hurry. I’m going with four out of five and a strong recommendation not to miss it.

The characters are still fun to be around, the one-liners are still sharp, and some of the action scenes are cut like glossy MTV-style music videos. But the scrappy, raggle-taggle charm of the core team of heroes has worn off this time around. It’s satisfying, but it never flies.
