Watch ‘Begum Jaan’ for Vidya Balan’s impressive performance but don’t expect it to be a masterpiece!

When a film doesn’t have a plot or even fair performances, no one can save it from sinking. LKSMLD is like any other love triangle story and seems more like a holiday trip for the film’s team. The only good thing about the film is its cinematography. If you think this is how a love story is supposed to be, trust me, you wouldn’t want to have one. We advise you to miss LKSMLD this weekend or go and watch Mukti Bhawan for a spiritual trip!

The film could have been better paced, all thanks to the under-cooked narrative. Naam Shabana is a throw away effort from director Shivam Nair and producer Neeraj Pandey, where the only saving grace is Taapsee’s act.
-
Rangoon is definitely not avoidable but it is certainly not a Vishal Bhardwaj masterpiece.

The Ghazi Attack is an interesting choice for this weekend unless you aren’t willing to watch a patriotic film which the makers haven’t projected it as at all. But don’t expect the chills you get after seeing films like Border, Chak De India, Rang De Basanti or Dangal. Watch it for its performances and technicalities.

‘Raees’ is certainly a one time watch but don’t expect the unexpected at all. If you are seeking a plot with enough twists then you will be disappointed. It’s just the run-of-the-mill ‘chor-police’ chase, which you must have seen infinite times in the past. Strongly recommended for Shah Rukh Khan fans.
P.S. ‘Raees’ is a slightly better film than ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Fan’.
-
‘OK Jaanu’ is a light-hearted film but there is nothing extraordinary about it.
-
The only good thing about it is its melodious music, good-looking actors and their fair performances.
-
Kahaani 2 is definitely below expectations, and will only excite you if you’re a Vidya Balan fan.

Dear Zindagi is definitely a one time watch this weekend but enter the theatre at your own risk since the journey of Kiara may hit you or it may pass by without even moving you. Watch this film only for amazing performances and nothing else.
