PK is far from being flawless but it remains a must watch film for those who believe in god, and also for those who don’t.

Compared to The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit trilogy is a slight letdown primarily because it has not been sustainable from a storytelling point of view. Jackson has lived upto the challenge of using superior special effects as a creative tool.

Exodus is a watchable film for its scale and visual grandeur in spite of the 3D which doesn’t add any value.

A reflection of the present times when television and their ‘breaking news’ have become a part and parcel of our lives, Nightcrawler is an excellent study about a man who wants to deliver at all costs. What I particularly liked about the screenplay is the fact that it is as much of a character study of the man in question as it is a commentary on today’s world.

Big Hero 6 marks Disney’s foray as far as super hero animation films are concerned. Inspired by the super hero team of the same name of Marvel comics it is one of the most entertaining animation film we have seen in a while.

This film is likely to down in history as one of the best science fiction films ever made along with the likes of Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. It is hard to ignore the influence of that Kubrick classic in terms of scale and opulence. It is a one of its kind experience at the cinema theatres. And on a side note, remember what Dylan Thomas said about not going gently into the good night.

For those who like war movies, Fury is eminently watchable and even as a action film, it succeeds.

On the whole, if you are looking for laughs, Happy New Year has a handful to offer.

Haider is eminently worth a watch. Above everything else, it has the chutzpah.

A plot like this that involves mystery and a lot more is not easy to adapt, besides, the story is not just a mystery, there are many more layers like relationships, media trials and Fincher has managed to bring them to the fore admirably. Gone Girl is a highly satisfying experience.
