  • If you are looking for a film sans the usual masala and item numbers, Chaarfutiya Chhokare will cater to your craving. The film deals with an important social issue, which we don’t usually see on most of the mainstream Bollywood films.

  • Khoobsurat is an entertaining and fun film. Though it might not measure up to the standards of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s classic, this fairytale might charm you. It’s not always that we get to see a vivacious princess in Bollywood.

  • Omung Kumar’s Mary Kom resonates the story of a true champion – Mary Kom. Watch the film to know more about the world champion. Even though the film does justice to Mary Kom only halfway through, watch the film for Priyanka Chopra’s acting prowess. This lady can sure knock you off. There are real hardcore punching and training sessions, which might inspire you to head towards the gym asap.

  • If you have enjoyed watching the Step Up series, Step Up All In will blow you away. Watch the film for its edgy and mind-blowing dance sequences. The film concludes with Sean’s voice-over: “Life of a dancer is not easy, but for one moment you feel alive.” True indeed. When you dance with your heart, the feeling is profound. Even though it’s vodka which is actually doing the magic.

  • Bajirao Singham. If you love masala movies, Singham Returns makes for a perfect watch over this long weekend. There is Comedy, Action, dialoguebaazi and yes, Dayashankar of CID. Watch out for the part when Bajirao Singham shouts out “Daya darwaza tod do”.

  • Pizza is an enjoyable movie. If you are tired of the same old Bollywood fare of dance and drama, Pizza will take you on a whirlwind tour of suspense and thrill. Pizza is presented to you with a generous topping of spooks and mystery. And yes, there is a dash of comedy too. Akshay Akkineni’s Pizza leaves you craving for another slice of this haunted treat.
    But it may disappoint those who, in their hearts, would still like to be genuinely scared.

  • It is a true spectacle. There is Suspense, Thrill, Drama and whole lot of Action. If Transformers somewhat left you heart-broken, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will revive you. It is more than a tale of survival. It is about the complexities of the mind and relationships.
    And if you are a fan of Andy Serkis, you mustn’t miss out this avatar of him.
