The film takes off on a promising premise, but eventually saddles on a disappointing plateau. But nevertheless, it is an uncomplicated film that would appeal to kids and adults alike.

The film would strongly appeal to intelligent kids, their parents and dog lovers, who have a sense of humour.

“Her” is one of cinema’s most affecting and heartfelt romances in modern times. It is worth a onetime viewing for its original concept and brilliant performances.

With wit, action and emotion, woven in equal measure, Miller & Lord have succeeded in making it difficult to resist revisiting the film.

Overall though heart-wrenching, brutal and life-affirming, the film due to the glamourisation of the conflict exhibits a “Hollywood feel” to a realistic narration.

Director McQueen has nothing new to offer that we aren`t aware of. But it is his unflinching portrayal of Solomon Northup with scenes of brutal realism, dramatic dialogue, cartoonish villains and a plot that highlights the torture which the slaves endured that sets it apart.

Laden with dramatically cliched and generic rousing scenes, director Justin Chadwick’s “Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom”, set against the backdrop of long-established institutional racism, is a far cry from an awe-inspiring and stimulating biopic.

Despite its flaws and lack in drive, it makes-up with style and excellence.

It is an ideal intriguing period crime film laced with comedy.

…this 99 minutes saga is fast paced that never pauses for a breather, but leaves you gasping for some meaningful cinema.

The 3D effects are very effective especially in the scene where Patchi shrugs off the crab or when the omnivorous squirrel jumps to catch its prey. These scenes are out of the ordinary.

…a gorgeous visual feast that would delight kids.

What’s good about Escape Plan is that it is clean and not at all contemptuous till the very end.
Watch it if you are Stallone or Schwarzenegger fans.
