Simran

2017 · Rediff · Sep 2017

Though it is clearly a one-woman film, the film hangs together with the help of its supporting actors who do their job contributing additional desi flavour like Praful's MCP, hot-tempered father (Hiten Shah) who treats his grown daughter like a child.

Naam Shabana

2017 · Rediff · Mar 2017

Naam Shabana is a sleek film, that unfolds at a wonderfully breakneck speed. It's crisp with no shoo-sha like my colleague Rajesh predicted.

The Reluctant Fundamentalist

2013 · Rediff · May 2013

While you may ponder over the particular prism that Mira Nair chooses to look at these issues, you cannot doubt that The Reluctant Fundamentalist is a powerful, gripping/bold film, well worth a watch in the theatre.
