All Is Lost

All Is Lost is a 2013 American survival film written and directed by J. C. Chandor. The film stars Robert Redford as a man lost at sea. Redford is the only cast member, and the film has almost no dialogue. Deep into a solo voyage in the Indian Ocean, an unnamed man [Redford] wakes to find his 39-foot yacht taking on water after a collision with a shipping container left floating on the high seas.
