Although Geetanjali and Danny shined all way long, the film defines teamwork at its core. Dive into the memory lane of your own Childhood and experience this feeling-full film which deserves all your attention. 

Based on a wonderful story ‘Kabuliwala’ by Rabindranath Tagore, this story turns a dry-fruit vendor into a Bioscopewala, and Minnie and her dad into this modern dysfunctional family. It is not just a stretch but the whole film is about Minnie rediscovering ‘facts’ that everyone and their popcorn in the audience has already guessed. You want to slap Minnie many times, but Danny as Bioscopewala wins your hearts…

Bioscopewala is a sweet film to watch if you want to bring back memories of your innocent, carefree, childhood through the lens of the bioscopewala.

At one hour and 31 minutes, the film doesn’t waiver much and wraps up the loose ends perfectly. One hopes that the filmmakers had paid more attention to the back story of Rehmat Khan, which is infinitely more interesting than Mini’s own tale. Still, there’s plenty to take away from this emotionally charged story about relationships.

The casting of this Danny Denzongpa film is inspired, just being able to watch the wonderful Danny on screen should have been good enough. But the film is choppy, especially in the way the father-daughter relationship is fashioned.
