Director Anant Mahadevan has extracted decent performances from the main cast, but how one wishes he would’ve concentrated on making the love stories engrossing. The best part of the film, however, is its finale, but the song ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’ was just not needed at that juncture.

The film, although an experimental attempt, fails to impress due to a strong dose of mush. Besides, the performances by the film’s cast (barring Namrata) are plain mediocre. In a nutshell, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar is an average film with four different love stories. And at least one of them is likely to pull strings at heart.
