HIT: The Third Case

HIT3 is a decently engaging investigative thriller that can be watched in theatres for Nani's terrific performance, and a few very well-executed sequences. A bit more effort in writing and at least fifteen minutes of trimming would have made the film very engaging.

Nani's attempt to break away from his soft-image roles with HIT 3 doesn't fully pay off. The film, with its excessive gore, lack of emotion, and weak storytelling, struggles to connect with audiences—particularly families and sensitive viewers. With disturbing scenes and a grim tone, HIT 3 veers away from the gripping thrillers its predecessors were and ends up as a misfire in the franchise.

HIT: The Third Case tries to be a gripping crime thriller soaked in blood, but ends up feeling like a half-solved puzzle, with a few pieces missing and a lot of gore thrown in for good measure. All said and done, HIT: The Third Case is a wild, bloody ride with a phenomenal lead and a few flashes of brilliance, but one that never quite manages to hit the mark.

While HIT 3 attempts to deliver a grand, theatrical action spectacle, it is not entirely satisfying. However, it does succeed in setting the stage for the fourth instalment. The next film will hopefully marry the franchise's expanding scale with the taut, brooding thrillers that gave the first two entries their distinct edge.
