Even if you step into the theatre with the least of expectations, Alpha will still fail to reach your lowest of low expectations. It is no exaggeration to say the team at YRF, were unable to come up with at least one engaging sequence in a film with around 140 minutes runtime.
Nagabandham

Nagabandham is an ambitious outing which should be commended for its technical output as the makers spent more on the making than remunerations. But then, a similar ambition is not felt in the writing department making it a disappointing fare.
Rao Bahadur

Satyadev in the role of Bhuvanam Ramappa Rao Bahadur, delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance. However, the film may have issues and unfortunately, it appeared that Venkatesh Maha firmly believed that the final twist was the only reason for 'C/o Kancharapalem's' success and seemed to have first developed a twist and then wrote the story and screenplay around that twist for, Rao Bahadur, which makes the storytelling oscillate between very good to good to annoying.

His screenplay and Nissam Basheer's direction failed to utilise the potential of the storyline and ended up coming up with a lengthy run-of-the-mill & unexciting heist drama. There's nothing intelligent that we find in the screenplay of the film, and what we see is a protagonist who involves himself in never-ending action sequences one after the other.
Chennai Love Story

The breezy first half, effortless chemistry between the lead pair, Mani Sharma's soothing background score and a few heart-touching episodes made the film a satisfying watch, though the film suffers to an extent when it attempts to be different from other love stories in the second half.
