Jai Hind 2 Reviews and Ratings
-
Jai Hind 2 is an out and out Arjun film right till the end. Be it his acting, stunts or direction, he handles every department convincingly. But an extended run time, forced comedy track and tedious first half an hour stops this film from becoming an complete action entertainer. Finally, all those who love serious films with a social message will end up liking this one.

The problem with the film is that it tells a predictable story and in a rather longwinded manner. The antagonists are also sketchily drawn and so, Abhimanyu doesn’t face any stiff challenge — everyone except this handful of individuals becomes his supporters. The comedy track involving Brahmanandam and Mayilsamy is plain unfunny (Jai Hind had Goundamani and Senthil in their prime). But the biggest problem is the lack of nativity. Given that the film was made in three languages (Tamil, Telugu and Kannada), the lip-sync often goes awry, and so, we remain distant observers for most of the time.

Although the film on the whole is a good package, some pieces so stand out in contrast. The emotional sequence of Abhimanyu’s marriage is rather unrealistic. Taking to social media, and it being that a quick success all seems like a tall story for practical purposes. It is understandable that the film is a multilingual, but lack of original dialogues makes the film seem like a dubbed movie from a Hindi film and Telugu film, combined. Ignore these and other minor hitches, the movie has a healthy message.
