Empuraan has hardly anything going for it, except for the richness of its production design. The film, just as Lucifer did, wishes for a flawed, all-powerful, invincible saviour. Some of the pre-release fan theories posted online had more interesting plot lines and character development than in this mediocre screenplay, which has an emotionally vacant core.
