Apart from taking a tightrope walk on the challenges of persons with intellectual disabilities, Aamir throughout in excellent form leaves the audience in awe. Some amazing performances — subtle here, direct there — embellish the texture and the textual quality of this Aamir film.

This is unwittingly the most honest moment of a film that decidedly goes berserk at the very start, and with every passing moment only gets more bizarre. 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' has nothing in common with the earlier film made with the same name except that both can be recommended for viewing only at the risk of one's reputation.

Fighter is in sync with the times, offering sumptuous national mood of happiness and adrenaline-pumped action. While the central villain is a huge let down and the script lacks credibility in its black-and-white portrayal of opposing forces, the film delivers high emotive moments and solidifies Deepika Padukone's positioning as an action heroine with her chemistry with Hrithik Roshan being subtle, unique, and special.
