Mother Promise

Dhananjaya's Mother Promise embraces absurdity with confidence, delivering relentless laughs, quirky characters and enough heart to leave audiences walking out of theatres with a smile.

Poornachandra Mysore's debut Kannada film delivers a lively comedy of errors with clever cinematic references, strong ensemble performances and an entertaining mix of chaos, humour and emotion.

As you're leaving the theatres after watching Mother Promise, you're likely to look back on it as a walking, talking 'drink-and-drive' disclaimer — and a funny one at that. This gangster comedy is overlong, yet chaotic in the right way.

The comedy in Mother Promise is chaotic. The movie is what happens when Hangover meets Hera Pheri. It's a treat for those expecting writing and filmmaking quirks, but a disappointment for those wanting conventional humour.
