With films like ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and ‘Ek Ajnabee’ Apoorva Lakhia fails to deliver a convincing plot due to a controversial subject that could not brainwash audiences perception towards the most wanted criminal in the world. 

If you have not enjoyed a light-hearted comedy so far, this is your chance to watch it. Although the comedy part is missing from the film, it is the thriller part which make you glued to the seats. Y-Films makes a good attempt in this genre and Ritesih Deshmukh nails it once again. 

Well I have not read Chetan Bhagat’s novel, but even if you have read it, I guess this movie offers a refreshing twist to it. With Mohit Suri’s direction, this Arjun Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer somehow fails to impress, the reasons best known to the director and the author of the novel as well. It’s a typical Bollywood movie and deserves a one-time watch this weekend. Go watch it with your girlfriend but not ‘half’ right?

Though the film boasts of a stellar starcast and a storyline which would been much more crispier, Amitabh Bachchan is that knight in the shining armour which saves the film from ruining it further. 

‘Naam Shabana’ offers a fair treat in the form of the actors but somewhere fails to leave its mark like the sequel. The slow pace of the story-line and the dialogues can be blamed for this let down. Filled with action and only action, the film is highly recommended ONLY for all the ardent followers of Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu as well. And of course for the vivid fans of the sequel ‘Baby.’

The film is a full on masala entertainer with powerful acting by the actors, groovy songs, funny dialogues and marvellous chemistry, a typical Karan Johar film with Shashank Khaitan’s special touch to it. This Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer surely delivers a thunderous Holi blockbuster.

The film is long and that’s a major drawback. This one sure needed more finesse not only in the execution but also in the way it is written.

Technically, Roy’s debut attempt is sound. Anupam Roy, Abhishek-Akshay & Zeb’s music, if not outstanding is soothing. The cinematography and editing is on point. Chaotic is how we would describe the film in one word with a bit of humour here and there. Its not an out and out comedy and can be watched at the comfort of your house when it plays on TV, but if you are a couple in love and are thinking of eloping to cinema halls, this one is a good time pass.

…it’s been long since we have had a war film and what’s better is that debutante director Sankalp Reddy’s ‘The Ghazi Attack’ is a complete underwater affair, in fact its India’s first underwater war film. So go watch it.

Technically speaking there are not many faults in the film. But it’s nothing that we haven’t seen before. It’s the same old wine served the same old way in the same old bottle. It’s predictable and once again the climax doesn’t make much sense. It looks more of a made up drama that a real sweet coming of age romance story of a young couple.
