Hate Story pushes the envelope so hard, all the contents spill out in a torrential tumble of tantalising power-play set within the world of corporate battles and gender conflicts. This is a most riveting and aesthetic saga of a woman’s revenge against the man who’s wronged her since RK Nayyar’s Inteqaam – except for the fact that Paoli does things Sadhana in Nayyar’s film could have never imagined.

… is a dazzling film, but it lacks the lustre and adrenaline rush of a 007 film from the bygone Cold War Era. The chutzpah and the aura are missing.

Overall, “Main Aur Charles” is a well-made intriguing film with realistic performances.

These computer-generated images along with that of the fine smoky textures of ghosts in 3D effect, merge with Dan Lausten’s cinematography seamlessly, giving the film an aesthetic feel.

But overall, the film does not tug at you emotionally.

Hanks, who teams up with Spielberg for the fourth time, brings his adept everyman quality to the role of Donovan, sniffling his way through snow-blown Berlin trying to secure “a happy ending for everyone.” The film has the classic Spielberg stamp imprinted all over.

…keeps you on the edge during its show-stopping sequence, which is worth a watch.

While the first half of the film is interesting, the second half of the narration drags. It is the verbose exposition coupled with; the never ending battles scenes, numerous characters with odd sounding names and poorly synchronised dubbing, that weighs the film down. Overall, the film gives a fair insight into this historical biopic.

Overall, “The Intern” snugly fits into a bland film for a night-out.

…it is a treat to watch ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’. It is a great film. You empathise with him, but unfortunately you don’t get emotionally involved. Probably the roots are too rural or there is something missing.

Overall, this film will literally appeal to the whole family. While the children will giggle and enjoy the antics, the adult audiences will be awestruck by the finer nuances of the characters and the homage paid to some older films. A definite holiday weekend treat for the younger ones!
