• I don’t know why, but I get this strange feeling that the director was not fully involved or attached to SOTY. The mark of intensity that one has seen in his past films is missing. It’s like a grand wedding reception with a poor food spread.

  • If you are ready and willing for a KLPD, do walk right in!

  • The storyline is an absolute mystery, even after two-and-a-half hours of trying to fathom things out. In between, the director throws in some heavy emotions, which is like wearing rubber slippers along with a suit.

  • For most part after that it is the sharp-shooter (Sharat Saxena) and the photographer (Kavin Dave) who Bumboo you. If that is not enough there’s a psychiatrist thrown in along with the photographer’s wife (Mandy Takhar). To be fair, it is only Mandy who though made to act without a script impresses with her bit.

If you are willing to get Bumbooed, do walk right in!

  • What is also missing is a soul in the film.

  • The sore point here is that Chakraborty overshoots the climax by 20 minutes. Once the hero gets his break, Chakraborty goes into another sub-plot that brings all his hard work of building up the plot crashing down. It’s like a guest who becomes a pest when he has overstayed his welcome.

  • The one star rating is for the attempt to make it in 3D. Otherwise, the movie has absolutely nothing to offer. The presentation is a horror in itself.

  • When the whole saga ends, you feel sorry not only for the people who acted in this project and the people who were in the creative team, but also for the few who will saunter into multiplexes to watch this film.

  • All that you take home from JOKER is a few stray laughs.

  • First-time director Bela Sehgal does well with an off-beat script, but casting is a big let down.
