• Delhi Belly is lethally funny and cynical. It is so gaudy and profane that you can’t say it isn’t fun in its own exuberant way. Do watch.

  • Kuch Luv Jaisaa is assembled from every possible spare part required to make a laughably bad film. Its offences come by the dozen, but the worst is its portrayal of Indian women as gullible, easily misled, irrational dodos. Even the recent Govinda film Naughty at 40 is more resplendent with intellect.

  • Watch Chalo Dilli for its mildly interesting first half, but leave during the interval. If your company forces you to stay on post-interval, don’t be surprised if you find yourself praying for the sweet release of death.

  • I’m happy to report that Hasee toh Phasee is very unlike its promos. For what it is, which is a bittersweet romcom triangle with a dash of dysfunctional family drama, it is actually pretty entertaining. And for all its periodic lapses in logic it is a well-made commercial film that actually does have a little something for everyone.
